A Peter Rabbit Gift That Gives Twice
Three Peter Rabbit soft toys have been specially designed by GUND in recognition of the incredible pioneering work of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) – one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. For every product sold, a donation will be made to the charity by Enesco, Frederick Warne & Co, and Silvergate PPL.
These Peter Rabbit soft toys are available in large and small sizes. One of the three versions is available as a limited edition range of just 500 toys. The new design features original artwork created by young patients at a workshop run by the GOSH Arts Programme, GO Create!*
Designers used the patients’ artwork and created a colourful, fun fabric featuring carrots and flowers to decorate Peter Rabbit’s ears and paws. The Limited Edition Peter Rabbit toy holds a handkerchief along with his special embroidered stethoscope.
Peter’s jacket has also been updated to a lighter shade of blue to match the hospital’s official colour during the 20th century, and to reflect the colour of the GOSH nurses’ uniforms in the late 1800s, further celebrating the staff expertise and dedication toward improving children’s healthcare.
Not only are these enchanting gifts but they will also help to raise vital charitable funds - a donation will be made from every purchase to the GOSH Children’s Charity to help transform the lives of the seriously ill children and young people at the hospital. The products have been created as part of Enesco’s partnership with the Charity, and the company hopes that sales of the new range will continue to raise much needed funds for the hospital.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated, children’s healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK. The hospital’s pioneering research and treatment gives hope to children from across the UK with the rarest, most complex and often life-threatening conditions. Our patients and families are central to everything we do – from the moment they come through the door and for as long as they need us.
